About This Practice

When measuring with a ruler, the easiest thing to miss is that objects do not always start at 0. This pencil lies anywhere on the ruler — read where it begins and where it ends, then tap the keypad to choose its length. A correct answer marks the start and end with arrows, reinforcing the “end mark minus start mark” method.
