About This Practice

Rounding to the nearest ten is really “finding the closer ten”. A two-digit number lands between two tens on the number line; count how far it is from each side and tap the closer one. Guided mode labels every tick to help you count, and a number exactly halfway (like 25) follows the “5 rounds up” convention.

A two-digit number lands on the number line between two neighboring tens. Count the gaps on each side and tap the closer ten. When the number sits exactly in the middle, the convention “5 rounds up” picks the greater ten—building a visual meaning of rounding to the nearest ten.
